Promoting the wise use of energy and natural resources in a carbon constrained world, Earth Advantage Institute (EAI) will be the nation’s leading organization in providing green building and climate solutions for clients in the building trades.
EAI, on Oregon 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, certifies new and remodeled homes as a third-party verifier for the ENERGY STAR® and LEED for Homes® programs, as well as for its own residential, community, and commercial programs. In addition, EAI provides green design and consulting services, conducts education and training seminars, and is a key contributor to the development of green building standards.
The organization includes over 400 builders, remodelers, and sponsors throughout Oregon, Southwest Washington, and Northern California, as well as licensed partners in: Ashland, Oregon; Eugene, Oregon; Redding, California; and Westborough, Massachusetts.
Position Overview:
To drive that mission, EAI is in need of a strategic, dependable, intuitive and entrepreneurial Licensee Director to identify and maximize revenue opportunities, create relationships and develop the licensee portfolio for EAI products (certification and educational programs) across North America.
Responsibilities:
Research, develop and implement opportunities and support existing licensees. Communicate regularly with licensees, share development direction and strategy brand merchandising. Answer licensee questions, conduct research; track and record all tasks within SalesForce. Identify and develop traditional and non-traditional channels for strategic partnerships and maximizing territorial opportunities.
Review and evaluate target expansion areas; Develop and approve a licensee recruiting plan designed to generate sufficient leads that will ensure expansion of EAI; Source and select qualified licensee partners capable of developing and executing a business opportunity; Oversee and maintain standards in the approval process; Design and direct licensee-development events; Lead cross-functional teams; Work collaboratively with executive management in reviewing all licensee documents and legal issues regarding business development and exhausting all opportunity avenues for new business; Display strong communication, coaching, training and general presentation skills; be self driven and self accountable.
Perform with outstanding relationship management, negotiation and collaborating/influencing skills in dealing with all levels through various communications channels.
Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly communication with licensees to share data and prepare reports which accurately detail the status of the business.
Qualifications:
Please have an interest in and passion for green building, energy efficiency, and environmental responsibility. Ideal candidates will have the ability to confidently and comfortably communicate with clients, colleagues and vendors; to understand client needs; to set client expectations; and to provide status and effectively present results.
* Microsoft Office applications
* Undergraduate College Degree
* 3 – 5 years prior licensee-related experience
* 5-7 years prior work-related experience (non-profit)
* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
* Strong detail and task operation, demonstrated ability in problem solving, organization and excellent project management and time management skills
* Strong client and customer focus
* Ability to interface across multiple levels within a client, partner or internal organization for overall team, company and client success
* A self-motivated and high-energy individual that can focus and deliver as promised with basic managerial support, coupled with the ability to work positively and effectively in a team environment
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs and SalesForce.com
