I thought it was dumb when Joe Barton said that we should just "get shade" in response to global warming, but this is even worse. It's like when Joe Boehner said "The idea that CO2 is a carcinogen that is harmful to our environment is almost comical." I really don't think all Republicans have to be anti-science, and i don't dislike them for being conservative. But what can we say when the leaders who speak for the party invent their own science?
