Gas prices are going down bit by bit each day, and this cartoon frighteningly portrays what could happen if they continue to slide.  The return of America? Let’s hope not. But it wouldn’t be surprising if all of the good that has been done since gas prices started going up instantly was undone if Americans can afford to be wasteful again.

I’m still hoping we catch up with Europe at 10+ dollars per gallon. Theres something about necessity and invention which seems to have proven true time and time again throughout history. But as long as we don’t feel the “need” we woln’t invent technologies that pollute and cost less.

I doubt gas will go down enough to really cause a wave of wastefulness, and make anyone forget. Most people are onto the whole goverment plan too, about lowering gas as election creeps up.
The good thing is, is it goes down just a little, people will support local businesses again because they’ll have a few extra dollars.

Got something to say?
