FactCheck.org and CNN Reveal McCain & Palin Lies

September 19, 2008 · Print This Article

McCain has shown that he’s willing to do just about anything to win this election, including choosing a running mate who’s all stunt and no substance and blatantly lying to all of America.  Finding a true statement in his recent ads has been a real challenge, as FactCheck.org has demonstrated time after time.

Check out the video below:

The truly sad thing is, the Republican base is going to believe all of this regardless of the facts.  As noted in the clip, they’re conditioned to believe everything the McCain camp tells them.  So, even when they’re caught in obvious lies, McCain & Co. will continue to deny, deny deny and smear Obama as much as they can get away with.  It’s dishonest, sleazy, and a very bad omen for what could be to come if McCain were to win the election.  Clearly, they don’t see much point in being truthful with the people they seek to serve and lead.  Scary.

Ms. Rogers - Cherry picking for your own agenda? Both sides have stretched the truth or out right lied. They are politicians. There is no such thing as an honest politician. Before you use a source as your argument, you should take the time to peruse their other findings like:
    http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/scaring_seniors.html
    or
    http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/stretching_with_biden.html
Which shows the Obama camp lying or purposefully deceiving.

You can view a video that outlines both sides tripping up here:

If you are going to take a position and state it as fact, ensure that it is defensible. Dishonest and sleazy - both sides are guilty of these tactics at one point or another. A bad omen? If you are basing this off of lying politicians, then our country will never have hope. And I do not believe this to be true. All humans lie and politicians are not exempted. They are simply caught more often because of their public life. Do not misinterpret, I DO NOT ADVOCATE LYING. I am sure that, in your writing, I can pick out lies as well. Does that make it a bad omen for the earth because one of the “so called” fighters for her is caught in lies? Once again, your site should stick to environmental issues and stay out of politics unless politics overflows into environmental issues specifically. And when that happens, make sure your position is defensible - I am a reader and will defend against your untruths each and every time (political or otherwise).

Got something to say?
