Even Suave Obama Looks Dorky in a Bicycle Helmet

Wearing a helmet while cycling kind of sucks. It’s hot, sweaty, causes that ultra-attractive ‘helmet head’ hair phenomenon and just plain looks dorky. We all know that wearing helmets is necessary in the U.S. especially because of the fact that drivers here just can’t seem to process the idea of sharing the road with bicyclists. So, it’s good to know that as we put on these ugly brain protectors, even a suave gentleman like Obama looks like a dork with a bike helmet on.

Kudos to the B.O. man for riding his bike, but helmet aside, he’s losing major points with those jeans (or maybe he’s just reaching out to the nerd vote).
Why would nerds wear jeans? I generally think of us as a cargo-shorts kinda constituency.
The tucked in polo in the light color jeans doesn’t help diminish his geekiness any either, but… yo, is that a rear fender or a missile defense shield on the back of that thing?
@BradyDale it looks like he’s pulling a kid-carrier, one of those two wheeled dealies.
At the risk of sounding like a schoolgirl with a crush, the kid carrier just makes him even more endearing.

In Chicago, seriously, you need to wear a helmet. They are killing bikers right and left over here.
O-BAMA! Yes, he’s not so hip, but the guy is a 40-something married guy with two kids. What do you expect? He is supposed to look like a hip grungester? Oh, grunge is so 90s right? I am totally dating myself… I will be quiet now…
He’s simply sporty the outfit of the political and economic elite normally reserved for old white men. Symbolically he represents the same issues as those white men. His outfit invokes confidence in corporate executives that he is one of them. Why publicly he is seen on a bicycle so he is for “change”. Just like suave Kennedy who “did not start the Vietnam War”.
I think Barak Obama is a true dork at heart. To me this is the ideal President. A smart, somewhat dorky looking guy is much more preferable to me than a suave looking idiot. Not that GW is suave.
