Caught on Camera: The World’s Deepest Living Fish

by Dorothee Royal-Hedinger · View Comments

In one of the world’s deepest ocean trenches, scientists have found highly social groups of fish living nearly five miles beneath the surface of the Pacific Ocean. They were captured on film with equipment designed to withstand the enormous pressure of the deep sea, which according to the video, is equivalent to the weight of 1,600 elephants standing on the roof of a mini-car.
