- We should be more concerned about Global Warming and Climate Change because Typhoons are getting much stronger and there are greater incidence of Flooding. take for example the recent Typhoon Ketsana which devastated some countries in South East Asia.

http://www.nillumbik.vic.gov.au/Page/page.asp?Page_Id=1842&h=1

‘Nillumbik values its large tree canopies, they are major contributors to the landscape and character of our Shire, and provide a familiar habitat for our precious wildlife.’

There isn't much of the precious wildlife left now

"Collecting firewood from the side of the road to keep winter fires burning is also in breach of Nillumbik Shire Council’s local law. In July this year, a man from Tynong North was witnessed collecting fire wood from the side of the road in the Bend of Islands, resulting in a $200 infringement from Council."

Leaving dead wood lying around would seem to be a good way of adding extra fuel to fires.

The January climate map of Australia displayed with this item seems to show that more of the continent was below average in temperature than above. How does this show global warming? It does seem to show regional warming, presumably caused by regional weather patterns.
