The ball at www.greeninauguralball.com is not the Al Gore event, but one hosted by 5-6 enviro groups. The event Al Gore is chairing is hosted by about 50 enviro groups and there is more info here: http://www.greenball2009.org/ . It is not free to the public, but is much less expensive than most balls.

If I am not mistaken the web site above is for a different green event. The event that Al Gore will host is scheduled for the 19th and is supposedly free to the public.

Couldn't agree more! A Green Ball is certainly something to celebrate. Some ppl were having trouble finding info for The Green Inaugural Ball at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on the 17th. The website is: www.greeninauguralball.com. I think going Green Tie is a great idea!
