All of the "wisdom" of beekeeping Burt gleaned for free from a man who goes by the name of Junior. Her famous lip balm recipe was stolen from old recipes handed down in northern Maine. The honey and wax she stole from bees. Burt was selling large jars of honey for low prices to the community. Roxanne decided to sell small jars for more money to tourists. When her business started picking up in Guilford, Maine, she picked up and moved to North Carolina, leaving a number of single mothers jobless - the single moms that helped her build her business. And to top it all off, she sold to Clorox, hardly what I would call an "environmental corporation" (ha ha ha as if that exists). I thought "green" was about the environment, not money. Community and sustainability, not money. YOU CAN'T MAKE A FORTUNE IF YOU WANT TO CREATE LIVABLE SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES. I grew up in the town Roxanne moved into.
