		<description>The idea of &quot;burning&quot; anything to create renewable energy has a host of adverse impacts that are ignored by government regulators and industry.  The upcoming Senate climate change bill will allow incinerators - those nasty, toxic creatures largely outlawed 20 years ago - to be considered sources of &quot;clean and green&quot; renewable energy.  Their carbon footprint is worse than coal, they burn our forests, dry up our rivers, and pollute our air, while emitting fifty percent more carbon dioxide than coal per megawatt hours.  www.nobiomassburning.org

This is only one of the many flaws in the upcoming U.S. Senate climate change bill being drafted by Senators Boxer and Kerry.  It is time for all environmental and social justice groups to join in an effort to Kill the Bill. ClimateSOS is touring the country to get the word about about this flawed bill that will do more harm than good.
