Bechtel claimed private ownership of all the water in Bolivia, even rainfall. Violent protests followed as "the market" tried to seek the highest price it could get for stockholder profits and CEO supersalaries while people died. If Pickens, Bechtel or anyone tries this in the U.S. we need to have them arrested for premeditated genocide, crimes against humanity and whatever else can be used to take him/them down. My rental house has a huge shaded yard with scrubby weedy grass and I'm in the process of trying to turn it into a natural forest floor with pine mulch and stuff (without putting too much money into it...) not to mention the fact that lawns are such a stupid use of land. k-man, this country’s dumb obsession with lawns is definitely a huge issue.
